Yatov Ben Yisrael Sends Passover Greetings, Urges Nigerian Jews to Champion Nation Building, Security, and Agricultural Development

Abuja, Nigeria — The Executive Director of the Initiative for Progressive Jewish Development (IPJD), Yatov Ben Yisrael, who also serves as the Nigerian Representative to the Sub-Sahara Jewish Alliance (SAJA) and Head of International Relations, SAJA Africa, has extended warm Passover (Pesach) greetings to the Jewish community in Nigeria and around the world.

In his Passover message, Yatov Ben Yisrael reflected on the meaning of the season—freedom, renewal, and divine purpose—urging Jews in Nigeria to play an active and patriotic role in shaping the nation’s future.

“As we commemorate our journey from bondage to freedom, let us embrace our duty to contribute to the growth of our society,” he said. “Passover is not only a reminder of our history but a call to action—to be instruments of peace, innovation, and national unity.”

He emphasized the growing positive contributions of Nigerian Jews in the areas of national security support, agricultural development, and sustainable nation-building, calling on the community to deepen their involvement in efforts that uplift both urban and rural populations.

“We must rise as bridge-builders, peacemakers, and contributors to Nigeria’s development agenda,” Yatov stated. “Our people are already making impact across security initiatives, agri-business support services, and youth empowerment programs. Now is the time to do even more.”

Yatov Ben Yisrael also reaffirmed the Jewish community’s unwavering prayers and support for Nigeria and its leadership, declaring:

“We will always pray for our great nation, Nigeria, and for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he drives forward his economic transformation agenda. May wisdom, peace, and prosperity guide his administration and our collective path.”

Through IPJD and SAJA, Yatov remains committed to promoting interfaith dialogue, cultural preservation, economic empowerment, and peaceful coexistence across Africa.

Chag Pesach Sameach! May this season of liberation bring hope, healing, and renewed strength to all.
